For a person to attain change and self-actualization they need to put their truest step forward. To do this they need to accept who they are as they are, and in doing so then can they change. When a person is hurting, confused anxious or terrified, they doubt their self-worth. They need gentle sensitive companionship from an empathetic, non-judgmental stance.”

Her therapeutic approach
Divia uses an eclectic approach, focusing on the client centered and cognitive behavior therapy perspectives and techniques. She has also incorporated solution focused compassion-based therapy. Her approach also stresses the importance of a holistic model; the mental/emotional, physical/biological, social, community and the spiritual aspects of the client are also considered when ensuring well-being and self-sufficiency. Divia has worked with clients of all ages, providing therapeutic interventions in group and individual settings.
